Day 1

Arrive in Tashkent

  • Arrive in Tashkent.
  • You will be met by our driver and transferred to the hotel.
  • Check in to the hotel at noon.
  • Later proceed for sightseeing tour in Tashkent.
  • Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imam Complex, where you will see Barak-khan madrasah, Mausoleum of Abubakr Kaffal Shashi, Museum of Koran where the original VII century Osman Quran written on a deer skin is preserved. Also visit Mausoleum of Sheikh Zainiddin-bobo and Shaykhantahur.
  • Continue to Zangiata complex.
  • Dinner in the restaurant.

Day 2

Tashkent – Bukhara

  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • Transfer to local airport in Tashkent.
  • Morning flight to holy Bukhara, holy land of 7000 saints.
  • Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
  • Leave your luggage at the hotel.
  • Check in at noon.
  • Start pilgrimage to Seven Sufi scholar’s burial places, all of them are located in outskirts of Bukhara.
  • Visit the tomb of Abduholiq Gijduvaniy (1103-1179) located in the town of Gijduvan (40 km away from Bukhara).
  • Continue to the tomb of the fourth apprentice of Abduholiq Gijduvaniy Khoja Muhammad Orif Ar Revgariy known as Hazrat Khoja Orif Mohitobon (died in 1259).
  • Lunch in the local restaurant
  • This holy site is located in the district of Shofirkon 50-60 km from the centre of Bukhara.
  • Continue to the burial site of Hodja Mahmud Anjir Fagnaviy (died in 1286).
  • Continue to Mausoleum of Khoja Ali Rometaniy located in Rometan district.
  • He was the apprentice of Khoja Mahmud Anjir Fagnaviy (died in 1310, in some sources in 1321). Visit to burial place of Hodja Mukhammad Boboyi Samosiy (1259-1354), an apprentice of Hodja Ali Rometaniy.
  • Dinner in the restaurant.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3

Bukhara

  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • Continue pilgrimage with a visit to the next holy site is the tomb of Hazreti Said Mir Kulol (1287-1370).
  • The last pilgrimage place is the holiest ensemble of Bukhara, the burial place of Hazrati Bakhouddin Naqshbandi – the founder of Naqshbandiya Order, located in the village of Qasri Orifon.
  • Lunch in the national restaurant
  • Then continue to Chor-Bakr Necropolis, a complex located in Sumiton village.
  • Mausoleum of Aby Khafs Kabir.
  • Dinner in the local guest house.

Day 4

Bukhara – Samarkand

  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • In the morning transfer to Samarkand (290 km).
  • En route visit the Memorial Complex of Imam Al-Bukhari.
  • Lunch in the local restaurant.
  • Continue to holy place which is a few kilometers away from this complex, the burial place of Hazrat Makhdumi A’zam Dahbediy (1461-1542), a Sufi philosopher, and a descendent of Hazrat Ali. Arrive in Samarkand and check in to the hotel.
  • Free time.

Day 5

Samarkand

  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • In the morning visit Khoja Ubaydullah Akhror Vali Ensemble, Khoja al Mansoor al Matrudi, Burkhonoddin Margiloni, Bibi Khanum Mosque, Shakhi Zinda Necropolis, where you can visit the tomb of Qusam ibn Abbas, continue to Hazrat Hyzr Mosque.
  • Lunch in the restaurant.
  • In the afternoon visit magnificent Registan Square, the noblest square in Central Asia, Observatory of Ulugbek, and Siab Bazaar.
  • End the sightseeing tour with a visit to Gur Emir Mausoleum – the graveyard of Tamerlane and Timurids.

 Samarkand – Kitab – Sherobod – Termez

  • Arrive in Termez and visit Hakim at Termizi.

Day 2

TASKENT – BUKHARA

  • Early breakfast at hotel restaurant
  • Check out the hotel in Tashkent. Immediate transfer to railway station for high-speed train “Afrosiyob” to Bukhara at 7.30 the morning.
  • Arrive in Bukharai-Sharif. Transfer to the hotel for check in.
  • Lunch at Local restaurant.
  • In the second half of the day start your sightseeing tour visiting Chor-minor Madrassah (Four minarets). The towers’ décor elements are believed to reflect the religious-philosophical understanding of the world’s four religions. At least, it is easy to see that some elements look like a cross, a Christian fish, and the Buddhist prayer wheel. Then, drive out of town to visit Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir, unique monument combining Oriental and Russian style architecture. Continue to Bakhauddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum and Chor-Bakr Necropolis.

BUKHARA — SAMARKAND

  • Your second day in Bukhara will start from thewalking sightseeing tour with a guide in Old City visiting splendid water Complex Lyabi-Khauz with Nadir Divan-Begi Madrassah, Magoki-Attori Mosque, trade domes of Toki-Sarrofon (moneychanger’s bazaar), Toki-Telpak Furushon (cap makers bazaar) and Toki Zargaron (jeweler’s bazaar), Poi Kalyan complex consisting from Kalyan Minaret that was in use for many years as a sort of beacon showing the way to Bukhara, Kalyan Friday mosque and Miri-Arab Madrassah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs. Continue sightseeing tour visiting the Samanids Mausoleum — full of magnificence and feeling of moving from this world to the world that lasts forever, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum with the holy water source, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, also known as the mosque with the 40 pillars, and Ark Fortress, the reinforced citadel of Bukhara (only the western gate has been restored).

TASHKENT – CHIMGAN MOUNTAINS

  • In the morning drive to Chimgan Mountains (80 km – 2 hours). Chimgan Mountain area, located just 80 km north-east of Tashkent, on the altitude of 1500 meters above sea level in the mountains of South-West Tian-Shan, the most popular holiday place of both local people and visitors from other countries. You will drive through the picturesque places full of local villages, gardens, and mountain streams. If the weather conditions allow and cableway is functioning, you can take a ride in Beldersay gorge to the mountain peak. Have a walk in mountain area and enjoy magnificent views of the nature. Then, continue to the lake shore of Charvak water reservoir, surrounded by green mountain flanks. This area is a favorite place of locals and foreigners to enjoy summer days outside the city.

  • Free time at resort beach area at your own activities where you may try your hands on horse riding, riding on motor bikes, trying local kebabs with local Uzbek bread.

Tashkent – Arrival

Day 2

Tashkent – Nukus

  • After breakfast, take a guided sightseeing tour of Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, the largest city in Central Asia.
  • Visit the Old City, which includes the Khast-Imam Complex and Chorsu Bazaar.
  • Within the Khast-Imam Complex, see the world famous Quran of Caliph Uthman and visit the Madrassah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.
  • Explore the vibrant Chorsu Bazaar.
  • Travel to the city centre on the architecturally-impressive Tashkent Metro, walk around Amir Timur Square and Independence Square, and then explore the State Museum of Applied Art. Free time.
  • Transfer to the airport to take the evening flight to Nukus at 18:05 (1,255 km, 1 h 40 min). Arrive in Nukus at 19:45 and transfer to the hotel.
Day 3

Nukus – Muynak

  • In the morning meet your guide and driver and depart Nukus towards Muynak.
  • Stop in Muynak to see “Cemetery of ships”, the former port with abandoned ships in the sand, and visit Local History Museum (might be closed without prior notice).
  • Lunch at the guesthouse.
  • Continue driving on the boundless Ustyurt Plateau.
  • You will reach the Aral Sea in the late afternoon.
  • Stop to take pictures of beautiful canyons and the collapsed land.
  • Arrive in a yurt Camp.
  • Camp-style dinner.
  • Overnight in the yurt.
Day 4

Nukus 

  • Early wake up to take pictures of sun rise.
  • After breakfast visit the settlement Kurgancha Kala dating back to the 13th century.
  • Pass via Kungrad district, which used to be one of the trading centers on the Silk Road.
  • On the way, see remains of a lighthouse; pass by the ruins of abandoned settlement Urga. Photo stop at Lake Sudochie.
  • Have a picnic lunch on the way.
  • After lunch head back to Nukus.
  • On the way to Nukus, stop at Mizdakhan memorial complex and Gyaur-Kala
  • Arrive in Nukus.
Day 5

Nukus – Khorezm – Khiva

  • Visit the Karakalpakstan State Museum of Art named after I.V. Savitsky.
  • The museum hosts the world’s second-largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and an exhibition of applied art from Karakalpakstan.
  • Take a short drive around the centre of Nukus and see the statue of Berdakh, the Karakalpak poet; the Nukus City Hall; and the Karakalpak Music and Drama Theatre.
  • In the afternoon, drive to Khiva (200 km, 4-5 h.).
  • On the way, visit the archaeological monuments of ancient Khorezm: Chilpyk-Kala (a Zoroastrian dakhma, or Tower of Silence) and Toprak-Kala (the capital of Khorezm in the 3rd century).
  • Arrive in Khiva and check-in to the hotel.
Day 6

Khiva

  • After breakfast, take a guided sightseeing tour of the ancient city of Khiva on foot.
  • Visit the Ichan-Kala Fortress (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Mukhammad Aminkhan Madrasah, Mukhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah, Kalta Minor, Juma Mosque, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum.

Khiva – Bukhara

  • Drive to Bukhara (480 km, 7-8 h.*) following the route of the Great Silk Road (which passed through the Kyzylkum Desert on the way between Khiva and Bukhara).
  • Stop on the way to enjoy views of the Amudarya River and the desert.
  • Arrive in Bukhara in the late-afternoon and check-in to the hotel.
  • Free time to rest or take a walk among Bukhara’s ancient buildings.

Day 10

Bukhara – Nurata – Yurt Camp

  • After breakfast, depart Bukhara and drive to a yurt camp in the Kyzylkum Desert(230 km, 4 h.*).
  • On the way, stop in Gijduvan to visit a pottery master’s workshop and take a master-class on traditional pottery.
  • After lunch, continue to Nurata town to visit the Chashma Complex of Religious Buildings and its famous holy spring.
  • Stop at the Nurata Pass to see the Zukarnay Petroglyphs, which date from the Bronze Age.
  • Arrive at the yurt camp and enjoy camel riding and free time.
  • In the evening, enjoy dinner around the camp fire accompanied by a performance of Kazakh akin (folk singers).
  • Overnight at the yurt camp.
Day 11

Yurt Camp – Samarkand

  • After breakfast at the yurt camp visit Aidarkul Lake, which is surrounded by desert.
  • Free time at the lake and picnic lunch.
  • In the afternoon, leave the yurt camp and drive to Samarkand (270 km, 5 h).
  • Arrive in Samarkand and check-in to the hotel.
  • Time for rest.
Day 12

Samarkand

  • At 9:00 start a sightseeing tour of the fascinating city of Samarkand.
  • Visit the spectacular Registan Square, the Gur Emir (Tamerlane’s Mausoleum), the remains of the Bibi Khanum Mosque, and the Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis.
  • Then drive to Konigil village to explore the traditional way of making Samarkand paper from the bark of the mulberry tree.
  • Free evening.

Day 13

Samarkand – Tashkent

  • Check-out of the hotel by noon.
  • Free time to explore Samarkand or shop for traditional handicrafts.
  • In the evening, transfer to the railway station to take the train to Tashkent (300 km, 2 h 10 min).

Day 2

Tashkent – Chimgan Mountains

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Departure from Tashkent by bus on the route to Chimgan Mountain (80 km, about two hours on the way). The path to the Chimgan grief runs through the picturesque settlements of the Tashkent region.
  • Upon arrival at the Chimgan tract, a walk through the mountains. Beldersai works on the Cable Car to get to the top of Kumbel Mountain (2,400 m), where the longest ski run in Uzbekistan is located.
  • Next, a trip to the shore of the Charvak artificial reservoir, surrounded by green mountain slopes. The lake, whose coastline is 100 kilometers, like a blue gem, is framed by a chain of mountain ranges.
  • Descent by bus along the serpentine road to the restaurant «Cinara’s» for lunch. In this picturesque place, which has amazing energy energy, magnificent petroglyphs are stored on the coast — rock paintings of the late Stone Age. And the four ancient plane trees give in spring and summer more than five thousand square meters of shadows. Here you can taste dishes of Uzbek, Georgian, Russian, Japanese cuisine and relax on the mountain handles specially designed for visitors to Cinara’s.

The ensemble formed on the grave of one of the first imams of Tashkent, a famous scientist, connoisseur of the Koran and hadith, poet, artisan — Hazrati Imam. Only in this complex, in the Mui Muborak madrasah (translated as “golden hair of the Prophet Muhammad”), the world-famous authentic Koran of Khalif Osman is kept. Then the Kukeldash madrasah. Many legends and stories are connected with the ancient Kukeldash — tragic, surprising, and funny. Eastern market Chor-su; Madrasah Abul-Kasym.

  • Your second day in Bukhara will start from thewalking sightseeing tour with a guide in Old City visiting splendid water Complex Lyabi-Khauz with Nadir Divan-Begi Madrassah, Magoki-Attori Mosquetrade domes of Toki-Sarrofon (moneychanger’s bazaar), Toki-Telpak Furushon (cap makers bazaar) and Toki Zargaron (jeweler’s bazaar), Poi Kalyan complex consisting from Kalyan Minaret that was in use for many years as a sort of beacon showing the way to Bukhara, Kalyan Friday mosque and Miri-Arab Madrassah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs. Continue sightseeing tour visiting the Samanids Mausoleum — full of magnificence and feeling of moving from this world to the world that lasts forever, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum with the holy water source, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, also known as the mosque with the 40 pillars, and Ark Fortress, the reinforced citadel of Bukhara (only the western gate has been restored).

  • Joint-stock company«O’zbekiston temir yo’llari» was formed on November 7, 1994 on the basis of the former Central Asian railroad located in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The total developed length of the main roads of the company makes about 3645 kilometers today. More than 91 thousand people work in the company. Annual goods turnover of the company makes about 90% of total goods turnover of all means of transport.

Now the structure of the company is reformed radically. The special attention is paid to privatization and privatization of separate areas.

The main activities of the company are:

  • forwarding and cargo delivery by rail;
  • repair and maintenance of railway cars;
  • passenger, tourist traffic;
  • service, updating of locomotive and carriage park.

JSC “O’zbekiston temir yo’llari” since 1993 is the member of the Organization of the Commonwealth of the Railroads (OCR). The company has close connections with the international union of the railroads (IUR) and the Economic commission of the UN for the Pacific Rim (ESCAP). JSC “O’zbekiston temir yo’llari” carries out collaboration with the TRASEKA (a transport corridor of Europe-Caucasus-Asia) of the TASIS program of the Commission of the European Union.

 The Afrosiyob is the fastest train in Uzbekistan, with a speed of up to 210km/h. It runs daily on the following routes:

  • Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara
  • Tashkent-Samarkand-Karshi

The National aircompany «Uzbekistan Airways» was established at January 28, 1992 under the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan I.A. Karimov as a body of governmental management of civil aviation, providing development, co-ordination and realization of policy in the field of air transport within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Safety, stability, comfort are the main criteria of its activity.

Fleet of the National aircompany «Uzbekistan Airways» consists of the modern and comfortable aircraft: Boeing-757/767, Boeing-787-8 Dreamliner, А320, IL-114-100, as well as cargo freighters Boeing-767-300BCF.

Aircompany of Uzbekistan has the Training Center and Simulator Complex, where procedural simulators for Boeing-757/767, A320 aircraft and unique full-flight simulators for А320 and IL-114-100 aircraft have been mounted, as well as own aircraft repair and maintenance enterprise «Uzbekistan Airways Technics” with unique Center on repair and maintenance of composite components of aircraft. About 15,000 of employees are working in the NAC «Uzbekistan Airways».

The National aircompany of Uzbekistan performs scheduled flights to more than 40 cities of the world – to the countries of Europe and Asia, to America and Japan. Representative offices of the NAC are working in 25 countries of the world.

The 11 republican airports, being the parts of aircompany, have the status “International”.

Having achieved the object – to enter into number of leaders not only on regional, but also on the world market of air transportations, the civil aviation of Uzbekistan has become the significant part of the national economy.
